Taylor Sheridan’s ‘1923’ to Air on Paramount Network Beginning in December (TV News Roundup)

According To The variety Taylor Sheridan‘s Paramount+ original series “1923,” starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, is coming to the basic cable Paramount Network.

Season 1 of the prequel series will debut on Paramount Network on Dec. 8, immediately following a new episode of “Yellowstone.” “1923” first premiered on Paramount+ back in 2022, and the December premiere date will mark the series’ linear debut.

According to the official logline, the “Yellowstone” prequel series follows “a new generation of Duttons led by patriarch Jacob (Ford) and matriarch Cara (Mirren),” and “explores the early 20th century, when pandemics, historic drought and the end of Prohibition all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home.”

Other cast members include Brandon Sklenar, Julia Schlaepfer, Jerome Flynn, Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves and Michelle Randolph. Executive producers include Sheridan, David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Ben Richardson, Michael Friedman and Keith Cox.

Season 2 of “1923” is currently in production.

Sony has nabbed global sales with platforms in North America, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa for its new medical drama “Doc,” which will air on Fox in the U.S.

As for specific providers, rights have been picked up by RTL Germany in Western Europe, Movistar Plus+ in Spain, AXN in Portugal, Max and HBO Max Linear in Central and Eastern Europe, beIN in the Middle East and North Africa, AXN in Southeast Asia, WOWOW in Japan, Seven Network in Australia, TVNZ in New Zealand, Global TV for English-speaking Canada, Quebecor Content for French-speaking Canada and The Walt Disney Company in Latin America.

Per an official logline, “‘Doc’ centers on the hard-charging, brilliant Dr. Amy Larsen (Molly Parker), Chief of Internal Medicine at Westside Hospital in Minneapolis. After a brain injury erases the last eight years of her life, Amy must navigate an unfamiliar world where she has no recollection of patients she’s treated, colleagues she’s crossed, the man she loves, or the tragedy that caused her to push everyone away.”

Barbie Kligman serves as showrunner and executive producer with Hank Steinberg, Erwin Stoff, Russell Fine, John Weber, Frank Siracua and writer Judith McCreary. The series is based on the globally acclaimed Italian series, “Doc — Nelle tue mani”, created and produced by Lux Vide, a Fremantle Company.
