Loteria” Wins Best International Film at South Texas International Film Festival

The feature film “Loteria,” directed by Ali Atshani, has won the Best International Film award at the 11th South Texas International Film Festival.

According to the media consultant of Bita Film, “Loteria,” directed by Ali Atshani and co-produced by Mehdi Mouniri, Mehdi Mansouri, Rana Nabavi, Hamed Feyzi Dizaji, Sadra Doroodian Homayouni, Kasra Doroodian Homayouni, and Ehsan Valipour Zand, was honored at the 11th South Texas International Film Festival (STXIFF) with the Best International Film award. 

The festival was held from September 11 to 14 in the city of Edinburg, Texas.

“Loteria,” which was filmed in Mexico in late 2021, has already garnered more than ten awards for Best Film and Best Director at various international festivals and has been featured in numerous global festivals. 

The screenplay of “Loteria” is based on a true story and was written by Ali Atshani and Mahmoud Reza Sani.
